Emma de Warren (b. 1999, Reims) is a French visual artist living in Berlin since 2019. With a background in social philosophy and care ethics, working across painting, poetry and video de Warren explores the emotions we inherit from our families, gender contexts, and social surroundings. She received a BA from the University of Exeter and is currently completing her Diploma in Fine Arts at the Weißensee school of Art and Design in Berlin. Most recently she contributed to the collective project Chimaera as part of a group of nine FLINTA artists, on view at Kunstquartier Bethanien, Berlin. I get to choose which way the buckle of belt faces is de Warren's first solo exhibition in Berlin.
