Errant by nature, Obelus is a non-commercial art space currently operating from a disused flat stalled in between ownerships, located in the historic Görlitzer Park area of Berlin. The program aims to slowly press-test and diversify the formal assumptions that surround artistic practice. Named after the typographic mark (†) originally used to signal doubt or deletion in pre-Christian philology, Obelus questions the corporate structure of today’s art world by operating mostly spontaneously and on short notice.

Obelus is a project by Clemente Ciarrocca.
